DADOS BIOGRÁFICOS

Militão is an exemple of exact visual art valorization. When he was seven, he had meningitis disease and lost 100% of his hearing. To minimize his illness, the family moved to Rio de Janeiro in 1970 in order to place him on National Institute of Deaf Education (INES in brazilian abreviation). On INES, he did not just lip-reading and simbols. He also started to developted painting on classes with the artist Rubens Fortes Bustamante Sá, who transferred to him the idea of composition and colors.

His art market participation began on Rio de Janeiro, enjoying the group that exhibits on the art fair at square General Ozório, in Ipanema, having his production weekly acquired by turists.

In 1982 lived for a while in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay, returning to Brazil in 1996.

In 1990, returned to Recife, where he settled down. For his long term nonpresence, felt the impact of an unknown person in this capital. However, his will of winning the artistic medium took him to paint even more, improving his work, which turned in the individual exhibition by himself on Mar Hotel Lobby. "I always sold everything I had painted, and because of that I settled and now I will do my first Individual Exhibition" says the artist.

The point is that Militão has a envy market to give this work. Recently, for instance, got a exclusive contract with H. Stern Jewellery, one the greatest in the country, in almost three years more than 150 were painted.

Today, Militão has hist works on the best art galleries of the country, as they are acquired frequently on foreign countries.

Gottfried Murbach Gallery (Zurich/Swissland) and Arvene At Gallery (Miami/USA) have constantly acquired his works.
